What is International

Economic Development Week?

Economic Development Week (May 4–8, 2026), led by the International Economic Development Council, is a global initiative that recognizes the professionals, partnerships, and strategies that advance economic growth, enhance community vitality, and expand opportunity. This year’s theme, 100 Years of Impact, commemorates a century of progress in strengthening local economies, while reinforcing our continued commitment to building a resilient, competitive, and opportunity-rich environment for businesses and residents alike.

In the City of South Fulton, this work is demonstrated through a focused approach to business retention and expansion, targeted small business support, and strategic public-private partnerships that drive sustainable economic outcomes.
